Abstract

The rapid increase in the human population in the world and the decrease in the food resources that will meet the nutritional needs of people is an important problem. The biggest problem of cultivated plants grown in agricultural areas is plant diseases and pests. Synthetic pesticides are used extensively against plant diseases and pests in agricultural areas around the world. Pesticides are synthetic chemicals that are generally used against harmful organisms in agricultural areas. The pesticide used in soil, water and air may remain in the foods consumed due to the intensive and unconscious use of synthetic pesticides in the world, or the transformation products may remain, and negative effects on humans and other non-target organisms are seen. It is necessary to reduce the use of chemical pesticides and to use human and environmentally friendly plant-based pesticides instead. In recent years, in many countries where human health is at the forefront, synthetic pesticides have been replaced by plant-based pesticides in agricultural areas. Plant based pesticides; It is defined as products consisting of one or more components obtained by subjecting plant parts to a process such as grinding, crushing, pressing, distillation or extraction. Around the world, plant-based pesticides are obtained from a wide variety of plants. In this study, a current record of plant origin pesticides obtained from plants in our forests, which are the lungs of our world, and the living groups they affect, has been reported.
